Kirsten Anderson & Christopher Carter
July 15, 2016
Christopher and Kirsten planned a stunning navy, grey, and blush summer wedding with lots of bling. They enjoyed the whole planning process, even the stressful moments! They had lots of fun and made wonderful memories with their families during that time that they wouldn’t trade for anything. They were sad when it was all over, but happy to share their story and wedding inspiration with you. Carter Photography did an amazing job capturing both their engagement and wedding photos.
How it Began…
Christopher and Kirsten first met in 5th grade when Kirsten moved from Ohio to Iowa. They started “going out” in 6th grade when they were 12 years old and the rest is history! They knew that each other was “the one” after they experienced the ups and downs of high school and college together. Christopher and Kirsten did distance in college for 2 years, which was the best decision ever as they were able to grow as individuals and grow as a couple.
Christopher and Kirsten got engaged at The Trump International Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. The whole thing was a complete surprise, from staying at The Trump Hotel to dinner at the restaurant Sixteen, which is at the top of the hotel. The ring came out on the dessert at the end of their four-course meal! Chris had arranged for the manager of the restaurant to take pictures of the entire surprise, which made it even more amazing. The surprises didn’t stop there, they were then escorted out to the roof top bar where they had their favorite wine being chilled for them at a private table! Their best trip to Chicago yet!
Most Memorable Wedding Moment…
Christopher and Kirsten’s favorite part of their wedding was their first look together. They did it before their ceremony to help ease nerves and emotions (tears) during the ceremony! It was amazing for them to be able to have that special moment together on such a busy and emotional day!
