Planning a wedding requires so many steps and things to do. And with so many local wedding professionals to research and choose from, having one company that can check off several items from your to-do list will save you time.
Weddings by Carue wants to be the company to help. What makes them unique is that they offer multiple services that couples can mix-and-match to customize for their wedding needs. You can use any or all of their offerings: photography, videography, photo booths and invitations.
Carissa, owner of Weddings by Carue, has been doing marketing, graphic design and photography for 6 years with Carue Marketing. Her love of helping couples navigate through the planning process, designing wedding invitations and photography was a natural extension that evolved into Weddings by Carue two years ago.
A question Carissa gets asked a lot is, “Am I doing this right?” To which she says, while guiding and educating them, “To each their own. Couples should do what is right for them.”
For example, couples may ask if they need to have an RSVP card in their wedding invitations, so Carissa will talk through the options with them. “There are creative ways to present wedding invitations that are becoming acceptable.” Some brides are opting to do RSVP postcards, which don’t require an envelope (which also saves on postage), and some are even starting to do RSVPs online. Each couple can proceed with what’s best for their guests’ and families’ needs.
With her business, Carissa sees many parts of the wedding planning process and wedding day. To help couples have a stress-free wedding day, she suggests they walk through the timeline and then add a buffer. “All things take longer than you expect them to and adding the additional time to your timeline will make your wedding day run smoother,” she says.
Don’t miss this step!
An important step that many couples miss when planning their wedding is creating signage for the big day. Signs may be used for reserving church pews, guest book requests, reception seating charts and for telling the guests the flavors of the cake at the cake table. Signs are an easy way to help the day run smooth for your wedding guests by communicating small details they need to know, but they are often forgotten about until the last minute. Planning ahead allows time to create matching signs that also coordinate with the wedding theme. This gives continuity to the event you’ve worked so hard on and prevents scrambling to get things done at the last minute.
DIY versus leaving it to the professional:
A popular trend right now are photo booths at wedding receptions. To save you stress worrying about details, photo booth are best left to a professional, says Carissa. Hiring a company to run your booth saves you time and money because they provide the photo background and all the fun props for your guests to use. Also, they’ll have an attendant on hand to give guests photo strips that are printed on the spot. This makes your photo booth more fun for everyone!
A’s to my Q’s: Carissa says…
Weddings and kisses go hand in hand.
You should never get married without a Photo Booth.
