Amanda Peck & Zachary Martensen

August 22, 2015

Amanda and Zachary had a gorgeous Iowa summer wedding. They combined modern elegance with their Iowa roots by celebrating their reception at a charming farmhouse. Stacie Ricklefs Photo + Design was happy to capture this unforgettable day to share and inspire you.

Amanda Peck and Zachary Martensen met when they were 16 and 17 years old and fell for each other almost instantly. After dating a few months, they both realized the difficulty of high school relationships when you don’t go to the same school and both went their separate ways. Amanda went off to college to North Carolina and years later after college, reached out to Zach through Facebook, where they both reconnected. They then started talking long distance. Through that long distance relationship they both realized they were meant to be and Amanda came back to Iowa to be with the love of her life.

On August 22, Amanda and Zachary pledged their love for each other at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside, IA on a perfect summer afternoon. Zachary’s dad was honored to serve as best man. The day was filled with blush and gold accents, but it was truly the couple that sparkled. The couple celebrated a beautiful farmhouse reception with family and friends at the home of Zachary’s parents just outside of North Liberty.

About Nicky Wilkinson

I’m proud to say I’m an Iowa farm girl from Swisher. I married my college sweetheart, Dale Wilkinson, and we have five girls. We live in the country with our cats and dog. Camping, canoeing, horseback riding and biking are some of our favorite activities. Our girls keep us busy with plenty of school activities and hobbies. I took over The Wedding Guide in August of 2014. I am inspired everyday by our local venues and dedicated wedding professionals. They are hard working and very talented. I get the opportunity to share that inspiration with couples to help them plan for their best day ever.
